From a small seed begins life
Cracked open in the dark damp ground
Strong roots send up strong shoots
Reaching for the light.
Cracked open in the dark damp ground
Curled up full of possibility
Reaching for the light
Slowly unfolding peacefully.
Curled up full of possibility
Branches stretch toward the sky
Slowly unfolding peacefully;
An ancient tree dreaming.
Strong roots send up strong shoots
Branches stretch toward the sky
An ancient tree dreaming
From a small seed begins life.
Beautiful poem Rose, and its that time of year when these beautiful miracles of life start rising from the ground..

Hi Sue, thank you! Spring has sprung here with sunny daffodils and ever so many robins in the mornings, garlic mustard, dead nettle and violets beginning their greening . . . mice have been helping themselves to my seedlings started indoors though, so we trapped a couple, and later this week with the new moon will be reseeding the flats and sowing a lot ‘extra’ . . . hoping that the ones we’ve not caught will do the ‘thinning’ while they do their scrambling nibbling of the over seeded growth! Hugs to you too ❤
